What is 8mm Film?
8mm film is a specifically formatted motion picture film. First developed by the company Kodak and released in 1932, 8mm was commercialised as an inexpensive way to film home videos. Also known as standard or regular 8, its defining feature was the 8mm film strip which was traditionally used in accompaniment with a projector for viewing purposes.
